Lion King the Musical

On a Saturday evening we ventured into New York City to see one of broadway’s most popular shows, Lion King the Musical. Showing in the Minskoff Theater, for over ten years on Broadway the show continually transports the audience to another world. With vibrant colors immediately casting the stage and sounds of Pride Rock filling the auditorium one can not feel as if they are still sitting in a New York building within minutes of the opening number.
The opening scene begins with the sun rising above the African planes and the percussion leading the procession of antelopes, giraffes, elephants and the remaining animal herds, to culminate at Pride Rock emerging from the stage below. The Lion King kept us engulfed in the atmosphere from start to finish. With ingenious concepts to portray the changing sets and characters alike the Musical brought the classic Disney Movie to life within seconds. Incorporating dance with costumes, the actors casted a magical moment in front of our eyes to forget they were human at all. Causing us to cry and laugh in the same moments as we did from childhood, we left not wanting to leave Pride Rock singing the story we were just told. Leaving our imaginations filled with awe from the nights performance we truly witnessed a L3gaci. Have you?

City streets of NYC

On a Friday morning we headed into New York City to enjoy some time in Bryant Park. Located in midtown only a few blocks from Time Square we went to enjoy the park’s free events, this time we participated in the Levi’s Jeans Wear What Fits Event. A free event for all to get some jeans, tee’s, listen to music, food from Witch Craft, a one of a kind painting made on the spot from local artist, styling tips from celebrity stylist Bobby Thomas and listening to the moving sounds of new performer Janelle Moane.
If you were one of the lucky, the first seven hundred approximately, one could receive a pair of the new Curve ID Jeans, because not all asses were created equally and hotness comes in all shapes and sizes. Just drop off a pair of jeans that would be donated to good will and get a new one that fits in its place. The process was a little complicated, depending on when one arrived you may have been there for a while, the earlier the better, however Levi’s did provide food and entertainment while waiting to pick up jeans.
One perk was hearing songstress Janelle Monae perform. New artist on the scene who has been making some noise underground is breaking ground main stream. With moving lyrics, new beats, and energy to fill a city, on goers filled the park with electricity from the sounds.
A good note to end our summer adventures on, a free pair of jeans never hurts, one can pick up their own pair at they’re local Levi’s store. With new jeans in hand, free food and new songs to download we were not disappointed. Witnessing a classic L3gaci while seeing a new one make grounds we left Bryant Park in high spirits. We’re out discovering a new L3gaci, are you?

No Excuses

No excuses, is a phrase most business’s own. In addition, one should use it in their personal lives. From not completing a task, under achieving in a goal to making mistakes in any form of life, we all make errors. It’s ok to make an error as long as one can admit these errors. It takes a lot of self-effort and courage to admit when one did something wrong, however that is the first step and the only way to fix the problem. For a mistake is only ok if the mistake is fixed, so as not to be done again. When one sees they are doing things wrong, messing up, fumbling around, take a step back, breathe and see what’s really happening. It’s all about accountability and owning up to your actions, its how all great things are formed and how all great people are accredited for their actions. A L3GACI doesn’t happen over night, like we said; the process, ideas, and the little things are all that matters. Take responsibility for your actions, own up to errors, and create a solid foundation for the start, they are the key ingridents to forming a L3GACI. We are. Are you?
