We had the pleasure of listening to New Jersey’s own “Unknown Candidate”, better known as Megan Dunne last week. Coming from Hillsborough, NJ, Megan has performed around the tri-state area doing open mic nights, to performing at different venues for shows, to now having her own release CD party. Inspired by many artist such as, Dashboard Confessional, Something Corporate, New Found Glory, and Jimmy Eat World to name a few. The self taught musician now has her debut album, “Love for a Friend, Love for the Enemy” coming out this friday November,12th 2010.
While traveling to Atlanta, we found ourselves at “My Sisters Room”‘ a bar in East Atlanta hosting an open mic night, “Unknown Candidate” jumped on stage. Surrounded by musicians and friends, we settled down into the eclectic crowd. Enjoying a sample from her up and coming album, we were hooked. Singing all original lyrics and playing original beats on her acoustic guitar everyone could not help but tap their feet and hum along to the melodies. Playing seamlessly, after a few chords, we truly heard a L3gaci and can not wait to hear more. Taking pictures afterwards and enjoying the rest of the performances we’re looking forward to hearing this new artist make her L3gaci. She is, are you?
