Black History Month

As Black History Month is tomorrow we have been preparing to bring you influential leaders, artist, actors, poets, socialites and more that have helped shaped the culture over the years. We will feature through out the month clips, poems, videos, pictures, articles and more to bring you the history behind this L3GACI of a movement occurring over the decades. We’ll show you how it’s progressed over the years, and hopefully we can find our own place in time in History.

New Year, New Happenings, Continuing a L3gaci

Back in 2009 when Eddie approached me about L3gaci, it was just a baby. An idea he was starting to cultiavte, something he had in his mind. He wanted it to grow, wanted to make it into a tangible idea. As we talked we found we had similar dreams, similar ideas of not wanting it to just be a job, not just a career, but a lifestyle. Over the next few weeks, we realized together we could make this happen. While networking we made friends, colleagues, and acquaintances that could help up along this journey. Partnering up
with a few family members, and Mr. Utmost joining our team over the span of 2010 we grew our dream. We saw L3gaci take on a life of its own, with every video, post, entry and article we saw the hits
stream in. We saw new followers on our twitters, we started to get
feedback on our Facebook, we saw the response. Now generating over thousands of hits on our Facebook and website, we see that the want for us is there. We came up with new concepts over the past year, creating outlets for local bands, artist, venus and events. We design flyers, posters, do photo shoots, and write reviews on
everything and anything. We’re launching our official t33-shirt line and looking to have a store location locked in by this year. We’re making leaps and strides here to see our dream take off. With much praying, hoping, and positive thinking we’re seeing our L3gaci make it. We dream to create not just a tee-shirt, not just a lounge, but create a culture. Create a movement, shape the culture around us, use what we were given to create a lifestyle. We want to thank all our followers and supporters in this past year and hope you follow us into the new year. We hope for L3gaci to only go further from where we are at now and we can only do that with your help and continued support. “At L3GACI we understand that we cannot bring you success, but wearing our vintage label, has benefits!”

Blizzard of 2010

During the past week, the north east, more like the East Coast experienced “snowpocalypse”. Eddie in the ATL even experienced some snow, only an inch. Lageegee and Mr Utmost got the brunt of the storm. From UrbanDictionary.com they define it as *”A weather condition in which the amount of fallen snow, while not really such a big deal, wreaks havoc on a city, effectively shutting it down and leaving its citizens stunned and unable to see any sign of hope or a return to normalcy. It’s perceived much like the aftermath of a nuclear event, but really… it’s just freakin’ snow!! ”
Some parts of the tri-state area were hit with 30 inches of snow, having snow drifts up to 7 feet tall! We had a dangerous treck home, stuck in the snow for three hours, we had to push our cars up hills and maneuver around other cars or objects. We had to become friends with others to block off roads, direct traffic and get out of jams. After much praying and hoping to make it home safely, we did, shortly after 11pm, collapsing on the couch we knew we were safe. The next day the aftermath was noticeable, a state of emergency in New Jersey for the entire state was present. With state budgets tight, plowing was slow all over the tri-state, taking days for some to get out. We were lucky enough to have help from plow trucks to get out of our drive way, however many roads are still snow/ice covered, remaining unsafe to drive. Till this day the area is still recovering, making progress, with much snow naturally needing to be melted, too heavy to be shoveled. Check back to our twitter or facebook to see our photos of the snow and other. Also share with us your stories and let us know how your snowpocalypse experience was.

These shovels saw too much use.

AMC Dine-In Movie Theater

This past week we went to check out the newly re-done cineplex in town, the AMC Dine in Movie Theater. A movie experience like no other. Where one can enjoy food, drinks, and a movie in the comfort of luxury seats. They have two movie options, for a more casual dining experience choose the “Fork and Screen”* option where one can receive a more laid back viewing. Having side seat service in a big cinematic movie experience available for families and younger audiences. We went with the more upscale experience at the “Cinema Suites”*, giving a more intimate setting. AMC Dine-in Movie Theaters is a full service dining experience while watching a movie, having enough room to fully sit back in luxury seats and enjoy, all while keeping privacy from other movie goers.
Upon entering the Cineplex there is an easy to use touch screen to choose what movie one wants to see. After selection, if the movie is playing only in the cinema suites one will get to pick where they want to sit. They do have a customer service desk available, easy to find for any questions. Not to forget Macgruffins, a full service bar and lounge off to the side to enjoy drinks before or after the movie.
Once in the theater, we relaxed and put our feet up on the recliner chairs. Having a beer, we enjoyed seat side service with a friendly staff. Being able to choose from a full menu of starters, entrees and desserts all at affordable prices we witnessed an ingenious L3gaci that night, leaving us eager to go back to enjoy another dine-in and movie experience. Visit AMCTheaters.com for movie times, pricing and where to find a local theater.
*Cinema suites are 21 and over only. showing rated R and PG 13 films. Fork and Suite showings are 18 and over, having more “family appropriate” films (PG 13 and under). For children under 18 they must be accompanied with a parent or guardian over 21.
