Handcrafted burlap satchel’s normally used to carry lunches to the cotton fields, are made with cognac lambs leather, Orange stitching, and charcoal grey lining. You may not work in the cotton fields and carry your lunch, but you will be able to carry all of your communication devices!!
On a Friday morning we headed into New York City to enjoy some time in Bryant Park. Located in midtown only a few blocks from Time Square we went to enjoy the park’s free events, this time we participated in the Levi’s Jeans Wear What Fits Event. A free event for all to get some jeans, tee’s, listen to music, food from Witch Craft, a one of a kind painting made on the spot from local artist, styling tips from celebrity stylist Bobby Thomas and listening to the moving sounds of new performer Janelle Moane.
If you were one of the lucky, the first seven hundred approximately, one could receive a pair of the new Curve ID Jeans, because not all asses were created equally and hotness comes in all shapes and sizes. Just drop off a pair of jeans that would be donated to good will and get a new one that fits in its place. The process was a little complicated,depending on when one arrived you may have been there for a while, the earlier the better, however Levi’s did provide food and entertainment while waiting to pick up jeans.
One perk was hearing songstress Janelle Monae perform. New artist on the scene who has been making some noise underground is breaking ground main stream. With moving lyrics, new beats, and energy to fill a city, on goers filled the park with electricity from the sounds.
A good note to end our summer adventures on, a free pair of jeans never hurts, one can pick up their own pair at they’re local Levi’s store. With new jeans in hand, free food and new songs to download we were not disappointed. Witnessing a classic L3gaci while seeing a new one make grounds we left Bryant Park in high spirits. Known for the numerous activities hosted for the great city of Atlanta, Piedmont Park is the Central Park of New York!! From concerts to bike riding, swimming pools, soccer, and social gatherings, we often forget who has to maintain the grounds that we enjoy so much.
Charles decided to take on the task of seeing what it really takes to keep a park so beautiful. Volunteering to prune, weed, and preserve. The task of the day? Pick out tandem grass from the monkey grass!!! Why? Tandem grass grows wild, and will over populate the monkey grass that was intended for the landscape!! Still does not make since? Well, after pulling this wild grass for about 10 minutes, I encountered several interesting insects that I have only seen in pictures!!
It was the most amazing experience to capture a photo of a grasshopper in it’s environment so close, butterflies candidly flying around me as I clean, and a hard shell garden snail feasting on the mulch I just pulled! (The park attendant helped me place the snail back in a safe place within the garden). So who cleans these grounds on a regular basis? There are groundsmen who are trained to keep the grounds a certain way to keep the ecosystem balanced, but there are numerous volunteers who participate everyday!!
